Tweetdeck user stream preview
As you’ve all heard twitter are trialling a new API, called user stream API which should do away with API call limits. I’m not a coder so cannot really go into great detail about it. Other than basically all tweets whether they be in your friends stream, @replies etc., will now be displayed in real time as they are posted instead of having to wait for Tweetdeck to call on the API at set intervals to retrieve new tweets.
It’s fun just sitting there watching there watching the tweets come flooding in, you cannot keep up with the sheer volume if like me you are following over 1,000 people, you are best creating a load of search columns to filter out tweets of interest.
I’m definitely impressed and cannot wait for this to be rolled out to the masses.

Sherlock
Anyone else watch Sherlock last week? What are your thoughts?
I thought it was brilliant. It does really bring Sherlock Holmes into the 21st Century. The touches with the mobile phone texts on the screen did annoy me the first time they appeared but soon got used to them and in the end fitted quite well.
I admit that I’d never heard of Benedict Cumberbatch so I had an open mind about his acting ability. I really enjoyed his acting in the first episode.
I was wondering how well Tim Freeman would handle being John Watson and was really delighted how well he played him. They seemed to have a good chemistry together can’t wait to see how their relationship develops over the next 2 episodes.
I really enjoyed the scene with the Taxi Driver and Sherlock, a sort of battle of the minds. I’d seen the actor who played the taxi driver in other dramas and was as ever a joy to watch. His name escapes me at the moment.
I hope the next 2 episodes are as good.
Good work from Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

What happened to my import
Okay a strange one this, never received an email back from posterous regarding an import of my wordpress blog. I was just using it as an experiment to see what the service was like. Now I know.
Enough about that. I have been in two minds whether to continue posting on my posterous blog and having it autopost to my other blog and have finally decided to give it another go. I know it’ll mean me going through those autoposts, tidying them up into the proper categories.
It’ll give me more freedom and a wider range of things I can auto embed via posterous.

World of Warcraft account update
Dear Blizzard, Thank you for concluding your investigation into my account. Could a human contact me, instead of using your bog standard email responses. You reset my password yet again when it was myself that already reset it. Would also be nice for you to actually unsuspend my account at the same time, or is to much effort to do that at the same time? I will send in as many tickets as I see fit. You do this for my own safety? Well let me see I’ve used computers since the age of 6, I’m now 36, so enough time has passed for me to know what constitutes as safe practice when using the internet. Yours Sincerely An extremely annoyed World of Warcraft Player P.S. I’ve left enough blatant clues to my identity in several places and asked others to point you to these entries, so a response from someone on a senior level would be greatly appreciated.

World of Warcraft account suspended again!!!!!
What is it with Blizzard? Again I’m being falsely accused of trading in gold or chatting about gold!!!!
No my account isn’t compromised.
No I have no viruses or keyloggers on my computer.
I run a daily virus check.
I have reset my password.
This seems to be a regular occurence when I stop playing for a few weeks and suddenly start playing again.
Why would I attempt to cheat a game that I pay £8.99 a month for and a game that I thoroughly enjoy?
If you do rigorous checks as you say, then it’s convenient that you don’t see how many times I have reported in game spammers for attempting to sell gold.
Account security only working between 9am and 6pm CET is laughable. The game runs 24/7 apart from maintenance on a Wednesday.
So un-suspend my account and let me carry on playing. Big fuss over nothing? Not really being accused once possibly a mistake, but being accused twice sorry no dice.
Also if you’re so good at tracing and tracking people, it shouldn’t take you long to figure out who runs this blog, thus figuring out who’s account you’ve suspended and reply to me directly.
This also gets tweeted out to my followers and soon will be on facebook as well, so your job to trace me will be even easier. Heck why not, I’ll post this to my posterous blog and every other outlet I can possibly get to. Have a pleasant night Blizzard.
